Since 1995 Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL) International, Inc. has provided high quality health and safety services in industrial hygiene, health physics, occupational safety, toxicology, modeling and analysis of environmental releases, and laboratory services in support of occupational and environmental sampling.

ATL has over 12 years of experience developing and deploying classroom technical training courses in emergency response, safety and health, sciences, engineering, and radiation protection for such diverse customers as the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Emergency Operations Training Academy, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Real Estate Assessment Center, and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

ATL is the only small business to receive DOE’s coveted Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star award for outstanding safety performance on a DOE prime contract. In 2010 ATL was recognized by DOE as the Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year.

Training Courses

ATL International provides proven, world-class training in industrial hygiene as an approved coursework provider with OHLearning.com.  The framework of this globally-applicable training provides consistent technical knowledge to scientists desiring an applied expertise in industrial hygiene practice in the following areas:

  • Air Exposure Assessment Sampling
  • Thermal Stress
  • Noise Exposure Assessment Sampling
  • Asbestos
  • Ventilation
  • Ergonomics

Each topic is delivered by a Certified Industrial Hygienist over the span of a week. Courses are run in a classroom style format with multimedia resources and hands-on workshops.  At the completion of the classroom materials, an assessment or examination is administered.  Successful completion of the examinations at the end of all 6 week long modules qualifies the student to achieve an intermediate industrial hygiene qualification that is globally recognized by the International Occupational Hygiene Association.
