Members of the Qualifications Group are appointed by the national examining boards that participate in the international scheme.  The examining boards are often part of, or linked to, the national associations of the countries concerned.

Membership of the QG is open to any country whose examining board takes part in the National Accreditation Recognition Scheme of the International Hygiene Association (IOHA).
